Curatorial T(W)alk: Moving Dialogues“All of Us Bodies, Human and Animal”Curators Katerina Markoulaki and Raisa Desypri, together with filmmaker Christos Andrianopoulos, invited audience and local community members to join a collective walk through the Chora of Anafi during the golden hour.As the group moved along the narrow island paths, the walk unfolded as an embodied conversation, a way of thinking with our bodies about place, space, rural communities and tourist monocultures.Part of the programme “Lure of the Rural: We, the essence of places”, this island (t)walk acted as a wandering dialogue; Strengthening a curatorial practice that converses with geography and embraces fluidity and impermanence. Together, Raisa talked with Christos, director of AIPOS, and Katerina, the artist of the expanded installation “Hands Intoxicated Happy” about their approach towards working with rural communities, love as a practice of engagement with subjects, and their perspective towards the places and spaces they encounter through their work.
